Guitarist, Jonny Phillpotts has been involved in music since 1985 when he formed a school band. Since then he has played in many bands including Thin Red Line, The Red Things and The Oscars. Jon, plays both electric and acoustic guitars. For live work, he plays Fender Strats and Teles and a Gibson Les Paul through a Mesa Lonestar amplifier Jon, who is a teacher, lives in Halwill, Devon. He formed Silverback in June 2002 with the band's drummer Trev Gynn. Favourite song in the Silverback set: Mr Brightside - The Killers.
